The Pledge of Allegiance
"We pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"
The US flag
The flag of the United States consists of thirteen equal horizontal stripes of red (top and bottom) alterning with white, with a blue rectangle in the canton bearing fifty small, white, five-pointed stars arranged in nine offset horizontal rows of six stars(top and bottom) alterning with rows of five stars. The fifty stars represent the fifty states and the thirteen stripes represent the original thirteen colonies that rebelled against the British monarchy and became the first states in the Union.
The red color represents courage and bravery, the white color represents purity and peace and the blue color represents liberty and justice.
